Colors and surfaces

Our flexible tiles and accessories can be produced in a variety of surface material compositions and colors thus offering a wide range of products available that are aesthetically pleasing and are most appropriate from a technical and cost point of view.

Base type

The composition of the cover and that of the accessory is based on the specification of the
product. The color of the product is determined by the color of the polyurethane at the time of manufacture, presently we have 9 different colors available.

You can also black out pages with a 25% or 50% offset to give you even more options.

EPDM upper layer types

When the top layer is used from the basic types - during natural wear due to use - first the top of the colored binder membrane surrounding the rubber particles forming the surface of the casing wears off. The result of this wear will be the appearance of black rubber particles on the surface, and the color of the tile will ‘blacken’ over time. This change in color can only be avoided if the rubber tiles are made from EPDM granules.

In this version, the top layer is produced from a mixture of colored EPDM granules and colorless
polyurethane binding material. Due to the use of colored granules in the material even after several millimeters of wear, the color of the rubber tile will not significantly change.

The colors can be freely combined with each other and even with black granules. Due to the mixing
options available, the range of colors is almost limitless. Through the use of different colors and
patterns, even a marble-like appearance can be created on the rubber covering.

Individual color requirements can only be fulfilled above a specified quantity!

The Green Tyre Zrt. manufactures EPDM granules in a wide range of colors.
